Oak Hill Middle School

Milledgeville, Georgia

Garbutt Construction Company worked alongside Altman + Barrett to perform renovations and modifications to Oak Hill Middle School in Milledgeville, Georgia, for the Baldwin County School District. The 20-year old building received updates and improvements to nearly every corner of its 198,000 square foot footprint under the construction management at-risk delivery system. The scope of this renovation included the installation of a new TPO roof and HVAC system along with new paint, lighting, flooring and casework, and a ceiling grid fashioned with acoustical tile. Oak Hill Middle School students will enjoy the addition of new retractable gym bleachers and an enhanced state-of-the-art auditorium. The Oak Hill Middle School Renovation project ended with some rather interesting statistics. Nearly 75,000 manhours were worked by 361 workers to make the renovation a success. More impressively, the project placed over $1 million back into the local economy through the use of local workers and suppliers, hotel stays, meals, and other expenses in Baldwin County.
