Hill Hall Rehabilitation

Hill Hall (Walter Bernard Hill Hall), was built from 1900-1901, by the students and faculty of Savannah State University. The three story masonry and wood framed structure of resides on the Savannah State University Campus in Savannah, Georgia. After sitting vacant for several years, the project was released to Garbutt Construction in October 2007 to begin complete rehabilitation. Upon the completion of construction, Hill Hall now serves as an administrative building which houses admissions and administration offices as well as the University president’s office. As General Contractor, Garbutt Construction Company provided construction phase management services including self-performance of selective demolition and carpentry trades.
