Health Sciences Campus Renovation

University of Georgia

The Health Sciences Campus, previously owned and operated by the Navy Supply Corps School, was purchased by UGA with many buildings left abandoned and unused for several years. Completion of this massive renovation project provided a very desirable specialized campus devoted to the study of health sciences and medical research and delivered national recognition to the University of Georgia’s Health Sciences Program. The Health Science campus includes new lab and research space, parking space, administrative space, full sized kitchen and dining space, and conference space. Garbutt is proud to serve as the construction manager for this project which contributes to training the medical professionals of tomorrow. The project was performed within budget with exceptional quality performance and completion of schedule.

A project of this type demanded the attention of a firm not only skilled in construction project management but also a firm familiar in working with preserving historic building components. Garbutt proved their keen capabilities and high quality of workmanship in both areas. I can honestly attest to the smooth delivery of a great project to our mutual client, the University of Georgia and the Medical Partnership.
