Bostick Nursing Center
Bostick Nursing Center is located on the Central State Hospital (CSH) campus in Milledgeville, Georgia, where Bostick State Prison once stood. Dr. Carlo Musso, owner of CorrectLife, and the CSH Redevelopment Authority were driving forces behind this new establishment. CorrectLife, an Atlanta based company, specializes in healthcare at correctional facilities across the southeast. Bostick Nursing Center houses 280 beds that will serve elderly and medically fragile parolees who do not currently have access to adequate healthcare. Also found in the facility are nurses’ stations, various treatment rooms, a large kitchen, multiple lounges, a barbershop as well as activity courtyards where patients can safely spend time outdoors. This new development also provides 330 jobs to Milledgeville and its surrounding area, a longstanding goal of Governor Nathan Deal. Bostick Nursing Center is a symbol of new life in many ways: for those parolees who are now receiving much needed care, for those who have new job opportunities, and for the CSH campus which is well on its way to being revived.
