Georgia College and State University (Georgia College) selected Garbutt Construction Company for their campus rehabilitation of Terrell Hall and Kilpatrick Hall. Terrell Hall, originally built in 1909, sits on the prominent front lawn at Georgia College in Milledgeville, Georgia. Terrell Hall will be fully restored providing a new home to the University’s noteworthy communications department. Kilpatrick Hall, constructed in 1939, houses the College of Education. Kilpatrick will receive window improvements taking the structure back to its period of historic accuracy and receive many energy efficient improvements. Both buildings are of tremendous importance to Georgia College and their continued ability to attract the nation’s top students. Garbutt will collaborate with Lord Aeck Sargent Architecture of Atlanta during the construction management process. Early demolition in both buildings will begin late summer 2017. This marks a continued 15-year relationship between Garbutt and GCSU, both entities known for integrity and passion for preservation.
