Garbutt Construction Company congregated in Atlanta Friday for their annual planning meeting and Do What You Say, When You Say Award presentation.
“Do what you say, when you say,” is one of Garbutt Construction Company’s five core values. These five core values are considered building blocks of the company’s culture. The Do What You Say, When You Say Award is given yearly to two employees who demonstrate this core value to its fullest extent. Garbutt Construction Company proudly announced Benny Brantley and Michael Brent as the recipients of the 2018 Do What You Say, When You Say Award. Individuals are nominated by their peers for exemplary performance throughout the year.
In addition to the awards ceremony, the company toured the exclusive Marquee Club of The Fox Theatre, one of their premier projects. Garbutt Construction completed the 10,000 sf rooftop bar and lounge earlier this year making it the largest renovation at The Fox since the 1920s. This addition to the theater echoes the mosque style of the building’s design and features Moroccan-inspired and Art Deco accents gathered from across the globe. The Marquee Club and Rooftop Lounge’s exquisite design and dazzling features wowed the group. It was incredibly satisfying, for those of the Garbutt team who had yet to visit the new space, to witness the tangible success of this collaborative creation.
What an all-around gratifying day to celebrate a Garbutt project that was a product of the Do What You Say dogma and the employees who exemplify this principle on every project the company undertakes.
