These affiliations afford our firm important ties to peers at the national, state, and local levels as well as access to the best in industry practices and resources.

The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC of America) is the leading national trade association for the construction industry representing the most qualified construction contractors and industry-related companies across the U.S. More than 30,000 member firms including Garbutt Construction dedicated to “skill, integrity and responsibility” make up a nationwide network of chapters.

As a 36-year member of both AGC of America and AGC Georgia, Garbutt Construction is recognized as one of the top commercial contractors in Georgia and the Southeast. Our firm relies on AGC services including legislative advocacy, professional development, and safety training. Charles E. Garbutt’s long history of serving in numerous volunteer leadership roles to support this organization and the construction industry continues today.

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a non-profit organization committed to expanding sustainable building practices. For the past five years, Garbutt Construction Company has joined with more than 15,000 member firms across the U.S. who are working to advance structures that are environmentally responsible, profitable, and healthy places to live and work.

The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation is one of the country’s largest statewide, nonprofit preservation organizations committed to preserving and enhancing Georgia’s communities and their diverse historic resources for the education and enjoyment of all. Garbutt’s commitment to historical preservation is evidenced by our 20-year relationship with this organization as a member, supporter and underwriter of special events. Over a dozen Garbutt projects have been recognized by The Trust for preservation excellence.

The Georgia Chapter of APPA – Leadership in Educational Facilities or GAPPA is affiliated with APPA, the national association whose members include over 1,300 private and public educational facility institutions and organizations. More than 7,000 educational facilities professionals are active in the organization. Garbutt Construction maintains an active business partner membership in GAPPA who represents over 40 of Georgia’s colleges and universities from both the state and private sectors. The association promotes excellence in all phases of educational facilities management including administration, planning, design, construction, energy/utilities, maintenance, and operations for all physical plants and facilities.

The Construction Education Foundation of Georgia is a non-profit foundation dedicated to promoting careers in the construction industry. Established by industry leaders in 1993, CEFGA connects the construction industry and the education system in Georgia. As a long-time supporter, Garbutt Construction contributed funds in 2008 to develop CEFGA’s Middle Georgia Workforce Alliance.

The Historic Savannah Foundation is a leading preservation organization committed to preserving and protecting the city’s heritage through advocacy, education and community involvement. Since Garbutt Construction won one of the Foundation’s preservation awards for Hill Hall in 2007, we have remained an active member and underwriter of special events.

As a leading construction service provider in Georgia, Garbutt supports the economic growth and prosperity of our home state. This is evidenced by our membership and support of this organization.

ACCG
ACCG is a nonprofit instrumentality of Georgia’s county governments.  Formed in 1914 with 19 charter county members, today ACCG serves as the consensus building, training, and legislative organization for all 159 county governments in the state.

Our affiliation with the Milledgeville-Baldwin Chamber of Commerce demonstrates our support for the middle Georgia working community. Having worked in this area for over 20 years, we are a proud member of this group.
