Georgia College and State University brought in Garbutt Construction to build a state-of-the-art sports complex on the West Campus in 2003. The job demanded massive grading of the six-acre site in order to meet challenging specifications for the foundation of the venue. When the grading and foundation were complete, the complex quickly took shape. Finishing touches of sod, fencing and other features—which involved school officials, recreation and facilities personnel, and other contractors—were expedited with the help of Garbutt’s coordination efforts.
Today, the sports complex is one of the fine modern GC&SU facilities enjoyed by both students and staff.
