The Haddock Baptist Church needed more space but they also wanted to preserve their current sanctuary. With Garbutt Construction’s help, a creative solution was reached, which incorporated the original 1900s schoolhouse building into the design for a modern sanctuary to house a 1,000-plus member congregation. The result is a stately yet modern building with interior features that boast some of the latest innovations in sound and lighting.
Getting creative: Haddock Baptist and Garbutt Construction decided that something a little less typical was in order for their striking new building: Instead of hoisting the old steeple atop of the church itself, it is centered on the ground as an attractive and unforgettable focal point between the old and the new.
